Morsetto Privacy Policy

Audio, MIDI and the information saved with your music

Draft updated: 26 October 2026
Scope: MorsettoAudio and MorsettoMIDI for iOS, iPadOS and macOS\

MorsettoAudio processes audio supplied by a music host. MorsettoMIDI processes notes and produces MIDI messages for a receiving instrument. Both use text-based rhythmic patterns. This policy explains that processing, settings saved by your host, optional Pro purchase verification and information you choose to send to support.

Musical processing on your device

MorsettoAudio receives stereo audio from the host, applies the selected modulation sources and mappings, and returns the processed signal. Its Audio Envelope source measures the main input level on your device; Sidechain measures a separate mono or stereo input routed by the host. Neither follower creates or uploads a recording, and the sidechain input is not mixed into the audible output. Your host supplies recordings or live input and handles recording and export.

MorsettoMIDI receives notes, velocity, channel, controller and pressure information supplied by the host. It uses those events to articulate notes and shape expression, then returns MIDI messages to the host’s chosen destination. Incoming controller values are remembered during processing for modulation and return behavior. The receiving instrument supplies audio.

Text conversion and musical processing take place on your device. This workflow does not send your text, audio or MIDI performance to the developer. Routing material to another instrument, recording it, or sharing it through your host follows your host’s settings and privacy practices. The accompanying apps provide information, offline manuals and Pro purchase/restoration; they do not run standalone audio or MIDI sessions.

Each User Manual is bundled inside its app and opens locally. The manual viewer disables JavaScript and uses nonpersistent website storage. Reading the manual does not load this website. Choosing an external link, such as Privacy Policy, Other Apps or Discord, opens the corresponding external service.

Patterns and settings saved by your host

When you save an Audio Unit preset or host project, it can include:

  • accepted text, leading silence and character spacing;
  • loop start and duration, note subdivision and triplet selection;
  • Audio mapping sources, destinations, activation, ranges and inversion, independent Audio Envelope and Sidechain settings, and the shared Dot Trail preference;
  • MIDI articulation, Played/Fixed velocity, response curve, output channel, and each continuous mapping’s source, destination, activation, range, inversion and Scaling;
  • the six Shape parameter values and overlap-reshaping setting;
  • grid, snapping and host-ruler preferences.

Unapplied text, drag previews, Undo history, editor zoom, selected mapping tab, held notes, observed controller values, follower history and the visible dot trail are temporary state rather than saved pattern data. The trail’s duration preference is saved; its captured movement is not.

Your host controls where projects and presets are stored. A cloud-backed project folder, device backup or shared project can include Morsetto settings. Sharing a project or preset may therefore also share the text used to create the rhythm.

Accounts and diagnostic reports

Morsetto does not use a separate developer account or a developer-operated cloud service for musical processing. Optional Pro purchases use Apple’s StoreKit services in the accompanying app. The plug-in reads the resulting access record locally; it does not perform StoreKit purchase verification inside the host.

Pro purchases and local access records

Both products provide Free processing and an optional permanent Pro purchase. MorsettoAudio Pro and MorsettoMIDI Pro are separate purchases. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, the corresponding containing app verifies the current entitlement through Apple’s StoreKit services and shares a derived access record with its own AUv3 plug-in.

Restore Purchases explicitly requests synchronization with the App Store.

Apple services

Apple handles App Store downloads and payments under its own policies. Apple may make purchase reports and opted-in usage information available to developers. See Apple’s App Store privacy information .

Support correspondence

If you email lucaji.milletgrain@gmail.com , your email address, message and any attachments are handled by the email services involved. This information is used to understand and respond to your request.

Send only the material needed to explain the issue. Avoid sensitive personal information and remove unrelated content from screenshots, projects and recordings. You can use the same address to request deletion of support correspondence.

This website and external services

This policy concerns the Morsetto apps and plug-ins. Visiting this website is a separate interaction. The site is hosted by GitHub Pages; see the GitHub General Privacy Statement for GitHub’s handling of visitor information.

Your host, receiving instruments and any external services you choose to use have their own privacy practices. Their collection or cloud features are not covered by Morsetto’s on-device processing description.

Changes to this policy

The published policy will carry an effective date. Changes to data handling will be reflected here with an updated date and a description of the affected features.
