Morsetto turns a short word or phrase into a Morse-derived rhythm, then lets you shape its spacing, movement and expression. A name, an idea or a few letters can become the pulse running through your music.
Two complementary plug-ins share that approach. MorsettoAudio shapes the sound on an audio track, following a Morse pattern, a loop ramp or the dynamics of the main audio or a separate sidechain input. MorsettoMIDI brings rhythmic articulation and expression to the notes you play.
Coming soon for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Each product works inside a compatible music host.
Choose your starting point
-
MorsettoAudio
Give a pad, recording or instrument output a rhythmic contour. Choose from six modulation sources and map them independently to amplitude, filter cutoff, stereo balance, width and drive.
-
MorsettoMIDI
Play notes or chords and let the pattern shape their expression. Sustain a phrase with continuous movement, or retrigger held notes at each mark. Shape velocity and up to four continuous controller or polyphonic-pressure mappings to suit your instrument.
| Audio | MIDI | |
|---|---|---|
| Start with | Stereo audio from your host | Notes from a keyboard or host MIDI track |
| Shape | Level, tone and stereo movement | Note articulation, velocity and expression |
| Place it | In a compatible host’s audio-effects chain | In a compatible host’s MIDI-processing route before an instrument |
| Hear it through | Your host’s audio output | An instrument that responds to the chosen MIDI messages |
Find a rhythm in your words
Begin with the complete MORSE pattern in the free version. Choose a Morse-unit duration from 1/64 to a whole note, with optional triplets. Your host supplies tempo and transport.
Pro lets you enter up to 20 characters, excluding ordinary spaces, and apply the text to reveal its dots, dashes and gaps. Move the first character to add leading silence, adjust later characters to reshape the gaps, and select or move a loop around the part you want to hear. Optional snapping follows the displayed Morse or host grid.
Shape the way it moves
Both products offer six Shape controls: dot/dash balance, attack and release, their edge offsets, and modulation depth. Keep a crisp pulse or let the transitions soften, with optional overlap reshaping for fades that collide. Automate the six controls from your host while the phrase follows the song position.
Five permanent mapping tabs keep their settings when disabled. Select a tab to edit it or inspect its pattern overlay; every active mapping keeps working independently of the selected tab.
Each plug-in instance keeps its own settings. Save them with your host’s project or preset workflow; Pro lets you use different custom phrases across your arrangement.

Both products include unlimited use of MORSE with its original spacing and complete loop. All modulation mappings, shaping controls, note values, triplets, host automation, grid/zoom navigation and host saving are available in Free.
An optional one-time Pro purchase unlocks custom text, character spacing, leading silence, sidechain input and loop editing. MorsettoAudio Pro and MorsettoMIDI Pro are separate purchases. Purchase or restore Pro in the corresponding app, then return to your host.
Made for your music host
Morsetto is designed around AUv3 plug-ins on iPhone, iPad and native macOS. Your host provides source material, instruments, recording and arrangement; the accompanying apps provide an offline User Manual, version information and Pro purchase/restoration. They can remain closed while you use the plug-ins.
The current system requirement is iOS/iPadOS 18 or later and macOS 15 or later. The Audio and MIDI products require different host capabilities; check the relevant support page before choosing a workflow. A host/device compatibility list will be added before release.
