SyntoniaRituals
SyntoniaRituals is designed to remain a focused, self-contained instrument. If something does not behave as expected, the notes below cover the most common situations.
the SyntoniaRituals version and build number shown in Settings;
what you were doing when the problem appeared;
a screenshot or short screen recording, when useful.
Do not include sensitive personal information. SyntoniaRituals has no user account, so a password or sign-in detail will never be needed for support.
No sound
Open the app’s transport and make sure audio is started.
Raise the app’s master performance volume and the device volume.
Check whether sound is being routed to Bluetooth headphones, AirPlay, USB audio, or another connected device.
Strike a bowl directly in the Live Rig before testing a saved Ritual.
If audio still does not start, close and reopen SyntoniaRituals, then include the Diagnostics information with your support request.
Audio is generated in real time, so the result may vary slightly with the device and the selected audio route.
Playing a Singing Bowl
Tap or use the Strike control for a clear initial excitation.
Move around the rim continuously to build a rubbing tone.
Allow a short moment for continuous rubbing to gather resonance.
If a bowl is not in the Live Rig, add it from the Library. The Free version uses one Live Rig bowl; Pro supports as many as four.
A Ritual will not start
Every audible step needs both a Singing Bowl preset and a Frequency preset that still exist in the Library. A Silence step needs neither.
If the app reports a missing preset, edit the affected step and choose an available bowl and frequency. Also confirm that the Ritual contains at least one step before pressing Play.
Editing is intentionally limited while a Ritual is playing. Stop playback before adding, removing, or rearranging steps.
The visualizer is unavailable or too active
Close the fullscreen visualizer and open it again. If the problem continues, restart the app.
You can reduce Motion Intensity, Audio Reactivity, Glow, Trail Persistence, and Ambient Particle Contrast in Settings. SyntoniaRituals also selects a simplified visual profile automatically when the device’s Reduce Motion accessibility setting is enabled.
Saved bowls, frequencies, and Rituals
SyntoniaRituals stores your creations locally on the device. They are not uploaded to a SyntoniaRituals account or cloud service.
Deleting the app also removes its locally stored Library and settings. The developer cannot retrieve or restore that content from a server, so preserve anything important before deleting the app.
Accessibility
SyntoniaRituals is designed to work with VoiceOver, Larger Text, and Reduce Motion. Controls use accessibility labels, important playback state is communicated without relying only on colour, and visualizers reduce particles, trails, and reactivity when Reduce Motion is active.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please describe the screen, control, and assistive setting involved in your support email. Accessibility reports are treated as product issues, not optional feedback.
Listening levels
SyntoniaRituals can produce sustained and overlapping tones. Set the device and connected audio equipment to a comfortable level, especially before starting a long Ritual.
SyntoniaRituals is a focused companion to Syntonia. It grows from the same instrument-design and acoustic-synthesis work, then follows a distinct path centred on guided sequences and audiovisual composition. Syntonia is the broader instrument platform, with interval-based tunings, MIDI/MPE support, and an AUv3 extension. It remains under active development.
