TastaCalma

TastaCalma is a keyboard-cleaning utility that temporarily filters keyboard input during a timer you start. This policy explains that permission, what stays on your Mac and what happens when you contact support or open an external official link.
Data collection
TastaCalma does not collect personal information through the app. It does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, in-app analytics, third-party crash-reporting services or an app-operated cloud service.
The developer does not collect any data through TastaCalma.
Accessibility permission and keyboard events
TastaCalma uses macOS Accessibility permission to temporarily suppress keyboard events during an active cleaning session. It checks the event type to filter key presses, key releases, modifier changes and supported media-key events. Mouse and trackpad events remain available.
The app does not record, store or transmit the content of your keystrokes. It does not build a typing history, read text from your documents or use keyboard events for analytics. The temporary filter is removed when the session ends.
You choose when to begin each session. Granting permission does not automatically start a lock. You can revoke access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Keyboard locking will then be unavailable until you enable access again.
Data stored on your device
TastaCalma stores a small set of local preferences:
- your last selected timer duration;
- your appearance choice: System, Light or Dark;
- the chosen language preference;
- whether the initial Accessibility setup has already been presented.
The active countdown is temporary app state. TastaCalma does not save a history of cleaning sessions. macOS manages the Accessibility permission separately from the app’s preferences.
Your Mac’s backup services may include local preferences according to your backup settings. TastaCalma does not upload them to any backup or sync service.
Removing your data
You can change the saved duration, theme appearance and language in the app and revoke Accessibility permission in System Settings.
Removing the app stops its use, but macOS may retain preference files, permission entries or backups. Contact support if you need help locating the preferences associated with your installation. There is no TastaCalma account or remote database for the developer to access, restore or delete on your behalf.
Apple services
If you obtain TastaCalma through the Mac App Store, Apple handles the download and any payment through its own services. The developer does not receive your payment-card details. Apple may provide developers with reports or diagnostics under its own policies and your sharing settings. See Apple’s App Store privacy information .
This is separate from non-existent data collection inside TastaCalma.
Children’s privacy
TastaCalma does not collect personal information from children or from any other user. The app does not provide accounts, advertising, social features, or a channel for submitting personal information.
Support correspondence
If you contact support by email, the information you choose to include in that message is handled by the email services used to send and receive it. Support correspondence is used only to understand and answer your request. Do not send sensitive personal information.

This policy describes the TastaCalma app. Visiting this website or opening an external link is a separate interaction with the service involved.
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages; whose handling of visitor information is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement .
If you visit the community, the Discord Privacy Policy applies.
Opening those services is not required to use TastaCalma.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if a future version changes how data is handled—for example, by adding optional cloud services, remote diagnostics, analytics, or another network feature. The revised policy will identify its effective date and the app features it covers.
